Tsvimbo Nedohwe, the recently released project by Rutendo Jackie, combines traditional African rhythms with contemporary instrumentation to create a unique blend of Afro Jazz.

The project, which comprises of six tracks, showcases Rutendo Jackie's versatility as a songwriter and musician.

Afro Jazz has always been a popular genre in Africa, drawing inspiration from traditional and modern African music styles. It incorporates a mix of instruments, including drums, bass,mbira/thumb piano, guitar, and saxophone, to create a rhythmic, percussion-driven sound that is both upbeat and soulful.

Rutendo Jackie's Tsvimbo Nedohwe takes Afro Jazz to a new level by incorporating contemporary elements such as electronic sounds, synths, and programmed beats.

The opening track, "Mhondoro/Nyuchi" sets the tone for the project. It is a high-energy piece that showcases Rutendo Jackie's strong vocals and the power of the drums.
The hypnotic, rhythmic drumming in Mhondoro sets the tone for the entire piece. It drives the music forward with an explosive intensity that is hard to ignore.

The drums are the backbone of this E.p, providing a pulsing, heartbeat-like rhythm that propels the music forward, almost like a freight train.

But it's not just the drums that make Tsvimbo NeDohwe such a great piece of music. Rutendo Jackie's strong and soulful vocals stand out just as strongly, adding an extra layer of power to the already impressive sound.

Her voice is rich, moving and passionate, we urge you to listen to her.
