Born in Highfield Harare and originally from Nyanga Mutare, Dino Mudondo is a Zimbabwean reggae artist who has become one of the most popular and influential musicians in the country. With his unique blend of reggae, dancehall, and Zimbabwean sounds, he has created a style of music that is both deeply rooted in his culture and widely embraced by fans around the world.
Mudondo made his musical debut in the early 2000's, playing in local clubs and events in Harare. He quickly gained a following for his high-energy live shows and catchy songs, which were infused with his passion for social justice and equality. He released his first album, "MAKOROKOTO", in 2002, which was an instant hit across Zimbabwe and helped establish him as one of the country's most promising young artists.
Dino took a 5-year break from the dominant trend in 2015 when he moved to S.A where he studied and worked in the field of marketing."The mic kept recalling me, hence the release of NoLumo album in 2020," said Dino.
Over the years, Mudondo continued to refine his sound and develop a reputation as a prolific recording artist. He released several more albums, including "Makoikoi, Dino,Divisisi,RastaKwasa among others.
Mudondo has worked with all the cream producers in Zimbabwe that are Russo, Oskid, Tyfah Guni, The late Fortune Muparutsa to mention just a few.
He is currently working with Zimbabwean born producer Elcee Gweja who is based in S.a
